  • Always heavy since my first picture at age two.
  • 13 years old – prescribed speed for weight loss, 160 lbs
  • 16 years old – first time I joined Weight Watchers, 204 lbs
  • 18 years old – bought life-time membership at European Health Spa
  • 19 years old – got married, weighing 235 lbs
  • 20-25 years old – joined and re-joined Weight Watchers and Weight Loss Clinic. Lost and gained 25-35 lbs over and over!
  • 26 years old – gave birth to my son and only gained 18 lbs. Three weeks after his birth weighed 245 lbs.
 
  • 27-28 years old – joined Weight Watchers again and lost, gained and rejoined several times and lost and gained again!
  • 29 years old – I gave birth to my daughter only gaining 20 lbs. I weighed 285 lbs full term.
  • 30-40 years old – joined Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers once or twice a year, tried various diets including the cabbage soup diet. Tried exercise classes, took various diet pills and was always trying the latest diet drug.
  • 41-48 years old – joined Weight Watchers many times, tried new diets, went to Dr. C. Smart-Abbey (motivational supervised diet), joined Ladies Fitness Club, tried various new diet pills, lost and gained and weighed anywhere from 275 to 310 lbs.

Due to many obesity related health problems, taking eleven different prescription medications daily and dieting on and off for 35 years; in 2003 for the first time ever, I finally considered weight loss surgery.
