In
Our Own Words

I
have chosen to have WLS to give myself a normal life. I
also have great concerns for my future health. Diabetes
runs in both sides of my family, and it is just a matter
of time before it claims me. I want to be able to walk
around without feeling tired almost immediately. I want
to paint my toenails and shave my own legs. I want to return
to my previous active lifestyle. I want to enjoy a fulfilling
sex life. Most of all I want to have a baby, something
that has proven impossible at my current weight.
|
| I
suffer from migraine headaches, sleep apnea and plantar
fasciitis. Furthermore I believe I lose business (I am
a wedding photographer) because potential clients, like
the rest of society, are quick to discriminate against
the obese.
Since
her submission, E has had her surgery. |
